How to Pay for Grad School

Graduate with less debt.

An online course and community to help you minimize your student debt and graduate with a life you love.

Paying for grad school should not be confusing.

Grad school is expensive. Most students don't have a plan. Without one, students...

  • 💰 Borrow excessively
  • 🏡 Delay life events
  • 🕦 Take longer to pay off debt
  • 😥 Feel confused and concerned
  • 🙀 Add stress to an already stressful time
  • 👩🏽‍💻 Make career decisions based on salary instead of passion

Excessive student loans have serious consequences on what you can and can't do after you graduate. But, unfortunately, society says they are inevitable.

We're on a mission to change that.

If you feel hopeless, overwhelmed, or out of control, you are not alone

This course is for you if:

  • You're stressed about paying for school
  • You're not sure how your loan balance will impact day-to-day life after you graduate
  • You feel like money is flying out of your hands, and you're not sure where it's going
  • You have goals for your life after graduation, but you're not sure if you can afford it
  • You want to make money while you're still in school, but not sure the best way to go about it
  • You want to borrow less, but you're not sure how without sacrificing valuable time for school

How to Pay for Grad School was built by three physical therapists who have spent years learning money habits that have changed our lives, but that we wish they knew on day one of grad school.

We've created this course to teach you a simple, easy-to-follow plan that helps you take control of your money - so that you borrow only what you need, and leave school with a better future.

What's in the course?

We teach a 5-Part Framework to help you minimize your debt as much as possible, so your loan payments are lower when you graduate.

  1. 💵 Set up an Emergency Fund, so you have some cushion for when crisis hits.
  2. ✍️ Learn to Budget, so you're minimizing your monthly expenses by tracking expenses and cutting unnecessary costs. We teach a special strategy called reverse budgeting, which you can do without an income.
  3. 🏘 Reduce Housing Costs, pulling a lever on the single biggest expense in your budget.
  4. Find and analyze the best 👷 Side Hustles that are actually worth your time.
  5. 📝 Apply to Scholarships in a way that doesn't waste your time and increases your odds of winning.

We teach you how to execute these steps in a way that helps you maximize your time for school and minimize your time figuring out finances.

At the end, we teach a method to help you calculate how much to borrow each semester, so you avoid over-borrowing and over-spending.

Registration gives you:

  • 🎥 2+ hours of video content on our 5-Part Framework
  • 📝 Powerful worksheets to help you plan
  • 👥 Access to our community Discord server (with Level 2 subscription)
  • 👩🏽‍💻 Access to instructors via email

What students have to say:

"Prior to taking this course, I had always hoped that I could get through graduate school without debt, but everyone around me kept normalizing debt and stated that it’s inevitable. Since I didn’t have much guidance on approaching school without debt, I went with what everyone kept telling me.. take out loans. This course helped me acquire the skill set to be smarter with my money and regain financial freedom.  By implementing those changes, I reduced my total debt I would have had post graduate school by almost $20,000."

- Taylor, DPT graduate

"I feel equipped to learn to budget, lower the cost of living, and take control of finances now. Student loans now feel less daunting and more easily controlled."
